Biggest Block Party Ever!

It’s been less than a week since Kitty’s Home opened its doors and the Neighborhood saw a wave of Cool Cats moving in. Even though these awesome changes to HandiLand are brand new, we’re already enjoying the biggest block party ever!

This reporter was lucky enough to be invited to a few BBQs this weekend in the new Neighborhood. Everyone was so friendly and nice. Cool Cats opened their houses to me and I loved what I saw. One of these cats, Vernon, was kind enough to show me around and let me admire his collection of furniture – some stuff from the Pirate Collection and then a random mishmash of items from the rest of the Catalog.

“My favorite thing is this awesome window,” he said, pointing to his Skyline Window from the Urban Paradise Collection. “What a cool thing it is to wake up and see the city.”

As for this reporter, I’m working on my own house right now. It’s coming along pretty well but I still need to put a few finishing touches on it. I’m trying to choose between the Princess Carriage Sofa and the Inflatable Sofa from the Beach Bum Collection.

“Get the car sofa, you know the one I mean, from the Race Track Collection!” says Milo, who I asked about my conundrum.

“Oh yeah?”

“That’s what I have,” he boasted, “well, right now. Who knows, I might switch it out for the Modern Sofa if the mood strikes.”

As for BBQ food, what did CoolCats like to eat when they were hanging out in the Neighborhood?

“I had some hot dogs,” Petals said. “Like, ten.”

“More like twenty,” Milo joked.

“I packed away a few cheeseburgers,” said Donnie, who was hanging out with his friends from HandiLand Academy.

What about Mitzy Meowerson, who graced the block party in her cutest summer sundress? “I had a salad,” she said. “Please. I’ve got to be in perfect shape for the HandiLand Pageant!”

“Did you still have fun?” We asked.

“Yeah, of course. It was the best block party ever. And, well, okay. I might have had a popsicle or two. A cat’s gotta have her fun!”

Indeed, and it sounds like fun was had all around in the Neighborhood this weekend. Here’s to more block parties to come!
