Princess Pearly

We found a regal and beautiful outfit while in HandiLand, and it belongs to Pearly Girl. Here we see the gorgeous Runway Model dress with its ocean blue color and dazzling sparkles. Pearly Girl has coordinated it with the Anastasia hair from the Winter catalog, and the blonde and black and blue work very, very well together.

This just goes to show that a background is extremely important when it comes to costume choice. Pearly Girl’s entire ensemble becomes more stately and elegant as she poses on the lush green lawn of a noble manor house, with a beloved dog by her side.

She almost reminds us of an eighteenth century painting of some noblewoman, out for a stroll in her gardens. Now that is fierce!

Glossing It Up

mimi gloss has given us an absolutely awesome outfit. We can’t believe we found her this afternoon! This classic black and white ensemble looks anything but streetwise until you put this Cool Cat up against a gritty, urban graffiti background. It gives her whole outfit new meaning and we can’t resist the combination of elegance and edginess.

Sometimes a surprising combination is the best kind of all, as mimi gloss proves. Her white hat off-center and perked on one ear also gives her whole look a cool, quirky flavor that wouldn’t be there if the hat was on perfectly. This is some very careful attention to detail, not to mention great creativity, and we are thrilled with our choice for the Catwalk this week!

Magical Maid

Pretty Maids has put a new twist on some old favorites here with her Dorothy-inspired dress, her red and brown teddy bear and the festive topper to the whole outfit: her Broadway Baby starry top hat.

We really like that this outfit is simple and showcases some fun color choices. We also like that this cat might be a little younger and isn’t wearing big hair or make-up yet. No matter who you are or what you like, you can always find a fun outfit that reflects who you are in HandiLand!

A Little 80’s Energy

This is a very unique outfit that pairs the Dance Teacher hair that lends it a 1980’s flavor with pretty sandals and white dress. The pooch in cute blue pajamas only helps to add to the fun. We picked this outfit for this week because, as some of you might know, the world lost Michael Jackson, a musician who made most of his music in the 1980’s.

With this look, honey553 has taken a very basic outfit and given it her own spin and style, just like Michael Jackson did with his signature sound.

Fairytale Charm

Not only is sbrochu a fairy tale princess herself, she’s got a fairy friend to help her navigate the world of fairy tale. Sbrochu pairs a simple but elegant princess dress with white sandals and luxurious Rapunzel hair. Then she puts herself in a room that might as well be in a castle tower or in a rambling mansion in the countryside… perfect for a Knight in Shining armor to come and rescue her!

She’s not alone in this story, though, she’s got a fairy there to keep her company and fight the bears, gnomes and trolls that usually populate a fairy tale world. Oh my!

Rocker Ammo

Like I think we’ve said before, we love featuring guy Cool Cats who do something cool with their outfits. Bradygilliland is no exception! He’s used the rocker hair here to add extra attitude to his army outfit.

He’s even got the rockin’ motorcycle gloves and nice, clean white sneakers to balance the rest of the look out. Even though he’s got an edgy look, he looks fun and could bring out your catty side!

Snow White Wonder

Darion has put together a really charming and elegant outfit out of the Swan Lake tutu and ballet flats. She’s even got the swan following alongside her. To keep the atmosphere light and girlie (and not to mention, to match the swan’s bill), Darion has also added some ravishing blonde hair to the outfit.

As the weather heats up and summer is upon us, the snow-white color takes on a whole different function… to keep this swan cool in the sun!

The Masked Marauder

Every once in a while, we like to get some guys up on the Catwalk, just to show off some of the cool styles our he-cats come up with. This is Yoda Yoda and he’s rocking the army chic, with the added bonus of a killer lasso that can help him on his adventures.

Our Army costume was one of the first ones we made the mask from it is very popular. If you’re a boy cat and you want to get a similar look for yourself, try and trade for this with another. If you already have this awesome accessory, try and hold on to it. It’s a favorite in HandiLand.

Totally Tomboy, er, Tomcat

Sometimes we worry that an emphasis on fashion and the catwalk makes us look for totally girly girl Cool Cats who have runway-ready and glamorous looks. But not everyone is totally into looking prissy and prim. There are tons of girls who love being a tomboy and dressing in a more comfy, casual style. Shooshoo is just such a cat. She’s got relaxed pants and fun elephant feet and a cute red and white sweater, but just from looking at her, you’d guess she could be either a girl or boy cat.

The only tipoff are the pretty pink bows around her ears, which keep just a small whisper of girly. And you know what? We dig the outfit. Summer is right around the corner. This is an outfit you can take to the park, on the hiking trail and to ride bikes with your friends. The pretty dresses and super glamorous tresses have a place, but it’s good to know that there are dressed-down Cool Cats out there who are true to themselves.

Frosty the Snow Queen

In some parts of the world, snow is still laying on the ground. As we careen towards summer, in fact, half of the world — the southern hemisphere — is moving from fall to winter! That’s where isabell house must be from, because her costume is still very much frosty and cool. However, there are little bits of brightness peeking through with the pink sash on her pageant dress.

The blues and pinks and whites go very well here. If she wasn’t wearing the Icicle Queen crown, we’d guess she was working in a nursey full of little baby kittens with all those boy and girl colors!
