HouseHunt: Arnolf

A new Cool Cat on the scene, Arnolf, has impressed us with his impeccable sense of style. He’s got a winter theme going on with parts of his house, a place where every single room is decorated to the gills with furniture.

This is a bigger view of the main room, where we’ve got a harp for entertainment and a kitchen area for making delicious snacks while waiting for the winter weather outside to warm up.

This garden is a perfect place to hang out. With monkey bars and a relaxing river to ease you after lots of time spent playing in HandiLand.

There are also baths and fountains to splash around in. A lovely bit of outdoor space in the middle of Arnolf’s huge compound of a house.

Here’s a restaurant that Arnolf set up in his house, where all of his friends can come to enjoy a delicious meal. There’s a lot of room here for all his friends… friends we’re sure he’ll be making in scores after this story hits Cool Cats Magazine.

How to Put Tasks In Order

We get a lot of questions about how best to put Tasks in order on your Task Chart. Here are instructions, just in case you want to rearrange the Tasks on your Chart. It is very easy!

First, log in to your account and click on the Task Charts tab.

Next, click on “Add or Edit Tasks,” which is a button in the center of the screen.

From there, you will see a column on the right-hand side of the screen. It will say “Sort, Schedule and Save.” Here, all you need to do is click and hold your mouse and drag the Tasks where you want them to go.

Release your mouse button to drop the Task into its new place. It’s that simple!

Princess Pearly

We found a regal and beautiful outfit while in HandiLand, and it belongs to Pearly Girl. Here we see the gorgeous Runway Model dress with its ocean blue color and dazzling sparkles. Pearly Girl has coordinated it with the Anastasia hair from the Winter catalog, and the blonde and black and blue work very, very well together.

This just goes to show that a background is extremely important when it comes to costume choice. Pearly Girl’s entire ensemble becomes more stately and elegant as she poses on the lush green lawn of a noble manor house, with a beloved dog by her side.

She almost reminds us of an eighteenth century painting of some noblewoman, out for a stroll in her gardens. Now that is fierce!

HouseHunt: ~twilightfan~

It’s summertime at ~twilightfan~’s house, with lush waterfalls and pools and a crowded, jolly atmosphere where all her friends can come and gather.

And true to her Twilight series fandom, she’s set up a room perfect for Bella and Edward to hang out in and talk about Edward’s dazzling skin:

Our favorite part is the partition with the beautiful screens and torches that sets a calming mood against the rocking blue floor. And the lights here are low enough that any vampire would feel at home. If ~twilightfan~ would just add a nice pattern to the walls, this room would be perfect!

Glossing It Up

mimi gloss has given us an absolutely awesome outfit. We can’t believe we found her this afternoon! This classic black and white ensemble looks anything but streetwise until you put this Cool Cat up against a gritty, urban graffiti background. It gives her whole outfit new meaning and we can’t resist the combination of elegance and edginess.

Sometimes a surprising combination is the best kind of all, as mimi gloss proves. Her white hat off-center and perked on one ear also gives her whole look a cool, quirky flavor that wouldn’t be there if the hat was on perfectly. This is some very careful attention to detail, not to mention great creativity, and we are thrilled with our choice for the Catwalk this week!

HouseHunt: prettygurl501

Step into this relaxing house and let the worries of your day slide right off your houlders. prettygurl501 dishes up a palace of themed rooms for every taste. Above, she shows us her luau room with relaxing blue floors and lush green walls. Don’t you just want to curl up in that pineapple tub? Next, she takes us to a busy hive of frenetic activity:

Only a buzzy, busy bee will be able to sleep here, but prettygurl501 sure does make her hive-themed room look inviting. With all those warm, golden tones, she manages to make even a beehive seem like a cool place to hang out and grab some pollen.

After a relaxing day at the luau and a bit of buzzy business at the hive, prettygurl501 has set up a room where you can just kick back and watch the sunset, telescope included.

Magical Maid

Pretty Maids has put a new twist on some old favorites here with her Dorothy-inspired dress, her red and brown teddy bear and the festive topper to the whole outfit: her Broadway Baby starry top hat.

We really like that this outfit is simple and showcases some fun color choices. We also like that this cat might be a little younger and isn’t wearing big hair or make-up yet. No matter who you are or what you like, you can always find a fun outfit that reflects who you are in HandiLand!
