Dish Drying Delights
October 22, 2008
Now, you’ve probably noticed that we’ve taken to giving you a few helpful hints for doing chores. We’re not saying chores are the most awesome thing to be doing, but that’s why we’re all here! Remember, a Good Cat is a Cool Cat.
Here’s how to dry your dishes and make your Mom or Dad happy. If you don’t have a dishwasher that dries your dishes or if you have special dishes that you have to dry by hand, here’s how to do it right:
- Have a clean paper towel or dishrag on hand. If you can find a dishrag or towel to use, that’s even better, since you won’t be throwing away a bunch of paper towels.
- Have a place, like a counter or a dish rack, where you can put your dishes.
Now, here’s how you do great dishes:
- Wash the dishes in your sink with dish soap.
- Take dishes out one at a time and rinse the soapy water off.
- Wipe the dishes and then wipe the bottoms. Make sure to get the bottoms!
- Put them on the rack or on the counter but don’t stack them yet. If you put the dishes together, they’ll get water rings on them.
- Once you’ve done one pass through all your dishes, grab another dry dishrag or paper towel and dry all the dishes again, just to make sure none of them get those yucky water dry stains on them.
There you go! Now scrub and dry to your heart’s delight!
House Hunt: Joe Jonas
October 21, 2008
It’s Joe Jonas, the stainless streel menace! Joe has taken a very interesting approach to his house. He has made everything one color – a cool, steely gray. You could do this sort of rocking house hunt sensation yourself. Simply pick out items from different collections that have a similar color.
Obviously, you can see from this house that it works. It gives Joe Jonas a very manly, cool and calming effect in his house. Very modern and hip, too. Every color in the rainbow says something. Red, for example, means passion and war. Yellow is good luck.
What are the colors you’re picking saying about your house? Until next time, we’ll be House Hunting!

House Hunt: Ashadeedee
October 8, 2008
We really love the comfy, cozy atmosphere of Ashadeedee’s pad. She’s got a pretty pink bed that she’s mixed with simple, Asian-inspired floors and walls, with bookshelves, a little nightstand and the very stylish piece of furniture footing her bed.
Over 200 Cool Cats have rated her house with a whopping four stars. Ashadeedee could really bring the Cool Cats over with her casual version of comfortable chic. Until next time, we’ll be House Hunting!
Couture Jam

KeKat’s got it going on! With this ultra-hip outfit straight from the schoolyard, she gives us a glimpse of a totally cool, hip and stylish ensemle that a Cool Cat could wear anywhere. She’s rocking a short, hip bob hairstyle, a stylish ruffled red shirt and black pants with attitude.
Top it all off with easygoing white sandals and she’s put together a really cool outfit that could go from school to the mall to the movies at night. It’s got enough personal style and enough energy that we really get who KeKat is… and want to raid her Dressing Room!
House Hunt: Rainavey
October 8, 2008
There are some areas of the average houses in HandiLand that don’t get used much. The bottom corner, the one that’s closest to your “My Stuff” catalog, is one of them. Most people don’t find creative stuff to do with these areas and they end up looking pretty blah.
Well, if you’re Rainavey, you use this very little-used area to fire up your house! While some of her decor is pretty plain and simple — very “zen,” if you will — she does draw a lot of attention with her border of campfires. This firey welcome is just what makes Rainavey’s house look ultra-exclusive. And it makes us want in!
Until next time, we’ll be House Hunting!
Pull Ov-arrrr!
October 8, 2008
Getting a ticket is always roung when you’re cruising along the streets of HandiLand. What if that ticket came from a swashbucklin’ pirate cat? It’d still hurt, but it might bring a few LOLs right with it.
What we like about Spike Flash’s outfit is that he’s being very playful. He’s accessorized a pretty ho-hum cop outfit with a black priate coat that matches perfectly and brings a dash of creative humor. And there’s nothing we like more here at the Catwalk than a good laugh.
Giant Gorilla Heads to the Zoo
October 7, 2008
Here’s one I didn’t expect to see. When he’s finishing up with a long day of gorilla-ing around the city and climbing the Empire State Building, he needs to relax. At least that’s what he says. Instead of bowling or curling up with a nice book, he… heads to the zoo!
I found him yesterday by the rhino enclosure. “Isn’t that a little wierd?” I asked.
“What?”
“You know, being a wild animal and seeing other animals in the zoo?”
Giant Gorilla munched thoughtfully on his popcorn. “Not really. There’s something you’ve got to know about me. Before I was the Giant Gorilla, I was in a zoo myself.”
“Really?”
“For a couple years, in fact.”
“Was it hard?”
Giant Gorilla stared off toward the elephant meadow. “Yeah, real hard. That’s why I like to come down here and chat with the animals, make sure they’re not feeling too lonely.”
I was about to give Giant Gorilla a big hug when I heard some yelling over my shoulder.
“Hey! Hey!”
It was a zoo keeper in his hat and uniform, pointing at us and running very fast.
I looked to the Giant Gorilla. “What’s going on?”
“Oh, yeah, guards. That’s the one bummer about coming to the zoo. They think I’ve escaped.” He shoved his popcorn in my hands and used his giant gorilla muscles to leap over the rhino cage.
By the time the guard reached me, I was trying my best to smile, hold on to my popcorn and pretend I hadn’t just seen a runaway giant gorilla.Well, that’s all for meow.
XOXO
