House Hunt: PrincessBecca

This is a pad fit for a rock star or a princess… PrincessBecca, that is! The coolest thing about PrincessBecca’s house is that it matches her outfit. If you get a chance to catch PrincessBecca, you’ll notice her Kitty Woman costume and bright red shoes.You’ll also notice the red carpet, black walls and superhero themes in her house.

It’s really cool when you make your Cool Cat match your pad, so if anyone ever saw you in there, they’d think: this totally belongs. Not to mention, PrincessBecca has created a really lush, hip, luxurious place to hang out. The deep, rich colors and the stlyish rock star accessories give it an edgy vibe.

HouseHunt: H3X

A really awesome house belonging to H3X surfaced on our radar the other day. We’re really digging the entertainment options this Cool Cat has cobbled together.

When you’re not looking at the cool way H3X has used windows, you’ll see the awesome TV/Living Room area that’s set up. Plenty of couches, a DJ set-up and an awesome TV on the wall will keep H3X and any cats who visit entertained.

This is a dream home theater system and we haven’t seen a living area this cool yet. Until next time, we’ll be House Hunting.

Breakfast Beauty… Out to Lunch

On my first day back in HandiLand, I had a real hankerin’ – as Sadie would say – for some waffles. You know the kind… creamy, fluffy, waffle goodness with a little whipped cream, chocolate sauce and shaved coconut sprinkled right on top.

Who says a girl’s gotta stop eating yummy treats when she gets home from vacation?

Not me!

As I rounded the corner by my favorite place, Cafe Cat, Treats & Coffee, I saw Breakfast Beauty. Perfect, I thought, maybe she’ll join me for some… duh… breakfast!

“Hey there, lady, what’s going on?” I said when I walked up to her table.

She couldn’t answer me right away and I realized why – her mouth was crammed full of LUNCH!

“Oh, nothing much, just grabbing a bite to eat,” she said when she finally swallowed a big chunk of pizza. “Wanna join me?”

“But… but… you’re eating pizza. And a salad. And soda. That’s not breakfast food! That’s lunch food!”

Breakfast Beauty frowned. “So?”

“Well, nothing, but I was expecting you to…”

“That’s exactly the point! Everybody always expects me to like breakfast!”

Well, duh, I wanted to say. You’re the breakfast beauty! Instead, I held my tongue. Believe me, it was very, very difficult!

She didn’t need any prompting to continue. “I’m sick of orange juice and think muffins are too greasy and eggs, if they’re not done right, are runny and eeew-y!”

She had a point there. The Gossip Queen had long disliked eeew-y eggs.

“So, some days, a girl just wants a pizza and soda. You got a problem with that?”

“No, ma’am,” I told her, and hurried inside to grab my waffles. She was being one cranky cat, but I understood why. It’s not easy to have someone expect just one thing from you. Sometimes you want to branch out.

Either way, I’d try to catch her on a better day… maybe for brunch.

Gossip Queen

Little Girl, Big City

Meeeow, Cats and Kittens. I just got back from my vacation in the big city and you’ll never guess who I spotted there! It was Sadie, the Southern Belle, and her eyes were as big as saucers.

“I just got into town,” she told me, craning her neck up to see the massive skyscrapers stretching in each and every direction. “I wanted to see something new, experience someting I’d never experienced before.”

“And how’s it going so far?”

“Well I am just beside myself! I never though the big city could be so… well… so bloomin’ big!” She blushed and almost dropped her suitcase. “I feel like a small little fry fish in a deep, deep sea.”

As the Gossip Queen knows very well, it doesn’t feel nice to not fit in. I’ve been on the outside looking in, feeling like a big goober, plenty of times in my life. So I spent an afternoon of my vacation taking Sadie around and showing her the ropes of Cathattan.

At the end of our long day together, she called a cab and told them to take her to the train station.

“Leaving already?” I asked.

“Well, gee. I think I should be gettin’ on. This city’s great an’ everything, and you’re so gracious for showin’ me around, but deep in my heart, I’m sugar an’ spice an’ everything nice. I just don’t think this city slicker thing is cut out for me.”

And I understood. Every once in a while, it’s good to stick your neck out, but then it’s even better to go home to the places and people you love. Like me! I’m back in HandiLand, so let the fun begin! Meeeeoooowww!

Househunt: Caribbeanone

Even though the username is a little hard to spell, Caribbeanone’s house is WELL worth finding in HandiLand. First of all, this has to be some of the most creative work we’ve ever seen with windows and vines! The cloud wallpaper and white floor give Caribbeanone’s house a cool, breezy atmosphere that is airy and light.

So much time and effort has gone into this house that we are head over heels. So are a lot of others! When we were in there to take this picture, there were three other cats just hanging out and enjoying the awesome room. Good work!

Caribbeanone has definitely raised the bar for Househunt Houses! You guys are so impressive that we’re getting some pretty high hopes. Until next time, we’ll be House Hunting.

Househunt: Queenbee2

If you’re ever in HandiLand, deciding whose house you’re going to visit, I’d put my bets on Queenbee2. Not only does she have a fun parkbench corner set up for her Cool Cat friends to sit and chat, she’s got cake for them, too!

Some Cool Cats make their houses all about them. That’s awesome, too, but cats like Queenbee2 know that true House Happiness comes from having your friends over and making them comfortable.

I don’t know if this is obvious or not, but here at House Hunter, we’re pretty huge fans of fountains. We wish we had fountains at our house. All you Cool Cats are giving us ideas!

It’s Gorilla Cat!

Gorilla Cat, otherwise known as Manbones, is a riot! While he’s only wearing two pieces of clothing from the Cat Catalog, Manbones is a hit in the Adventurer hat and the Gorilla top. Our favorite part about this imaginative get-up is that Manbones’ Cool Cat breed totally matches the Gorilla costume, so that they look seamless and totally complete together.

Over at HandiLand Headquarters, they’re thinking about coming out with a catalog full of animal costumes like the Gorilla. Would you guys be into that? Here at the Catwalk, we’re all for it. We’d get a whole new slew of creative costumes to play with!
