Need More Motivation?
August 12, 2008
Alright, Cool Cats, I know that some of you might need some motivation from time to time to do your Tasks. If your Savings Goals aren’t doing it for you, ask your parents to help create a Custom Savings Goal for you.
You can find the option for a Custom Savings Goal in every type of Savings Goal category. For example, if you want to create a custom Recreation Goal, follow these steps:
1. Click on the Savings Goals tab
2. Click on Recreation
3. Click “Create Custom…”
4. Name your Goal, put in how many Handipoints this Goal is worth and how much money (if any) the Goal is worth
5. Add a picture if you can find a URL (web address) for the picture you want to use
6. Click “Save”
Get creative. A Savings Goal can be anything from getting ice cream sundaes with your best friend to that Xbox game you’ve wanted, as long as your parents say it’s okay. Create away and get motivated today!
A Queen Fit For A King
August 12, 2008
We got such a kick out of Purrgir’s costume that we just had to feature her on the Catwalk. The first thing a lot of you girls will notice is that she’s got probably the most wanted item in HandiLand right now – the Queen Dress.
She’s also got adorable Rapunzel hair and Tink on her side. Did you notice how her green eyeshadow make-up matches the Emerald Town behind her? How cool is that?
Well, Queen Dress seekers, we’ve got a surprise for you. You can buy the Queen Dress with a Gold Key in the secret catalog. All the vintage Cool Cats will know what this means. If you don’t – ask a Cool Cat to show you where it is!
The Classy King Kat
August 12, 2008
A sense of fun is what we love here at the Catwalk. From the very top of Trenton Mauldin’s costume, we get the feeling that he’s a Cool Cat King getting ready to battle some monsters. He’s even got the sword and shield to prove it.
Then, when we scroll down and take a look at the rest of his costume, we get whalloped with a huge surprise. He’s got monster feet (from the Mascot costume)!!! Is he a monster slayer or is he the monster himself?
Whoa! Not only does his costume have style, it’s also got something completely rare in terms of clothes: a wicked sense of humor!
Timmy’s Apple Secret
August 9, 2008
Whoa, Cool Cats! Ch-ch-check it out. I was wandering over to the Neighborhood when I passed the Timmy Applesprout statue this morning. Well, guess what? I found something secret there that gave me a whole lot of answers into the Timmy Applesprout mystery.
Remember when I asked you guys who you thought Timmy was?
Well, now you can learn his story. Check it out at the gate to the Neighborhood. If you’ve never been there, ask a friend to show you. I’ve been living in HandiLand my entire life and not even I knew this juicy little bit of Handi History.
I know I may seem like a Cool Cat who’s too cool for school, but, deep down, I’m just a real history nerd!

Even More New Furniture
August 9, 2008
Cool Cats all over Handiland are already figuring out how to go on Awesome Adventures. If you have no idea what we’re talking about, read on.
Exclusive Costumes
August 5, 2008
One cool way to get exclusive costumes, even if you don’t want to buy any Keys, is by inviting five friends to join you as a Cool Cat. When they sign up and jot down your family’s e-mail address as the person who sent them (this last part is very important), you’ll get a limited edition costume that nobody else in HandiLand can buy!
To learn how to invite your own friends and family to enjoy HandiLand, check out an earlier Tip in the Catnip Clues section that gives you step by step instructions.
House Hunt: Npol
August 5, 2008
Your passions aren’t just for your real room at home anymore, Cool Cats! Here, we’ve got Npol’s house. He’s built it with a purrfect reading nook that lets his visitors know that he loooooves books. Who doesn’t?
Not only did he set up tons of shelves crammed with fun, but he gave his visitors (and himself) and great place to sit, relax, and crack open a story or two.
What makes you special and unique? Where can you fit that into your house?
Until next time, we’ll be House Hunting!
Earning His Stripes
August 5, 2008
Now that he’s got his heart, the Tin Man is getting something else entirely: a brand new look! I caught up with him at HandiLand Speedway the other day and saw that he totally matched his car. Here’s what he had to say about that:
“I was so sick of being boring and silver. I was getting a new paint job for my car and saw them putting all these cool decals on there and stuff. Then,” he says with a smile, “the idea struck.”
He had the auto shop guys give him protective glasses, to keep paint out of his eyes, and spray him down with a really fierce yellow and red pattern.
“I love it,” he says. “Every time I get a glimpse of myself in my rearview mirror, I see a cooler, faster, more awesome Tin Man.”
Us too! It didn’t hurt that he took the “faster” part seriously when he won the HandiLand 5000 race this weekend!

Baking Up A Storm
August 5, 2008
The last time we heard from our good friends Hansel and Gretel, they were doing everything in their power to get OUT of the wicked witch’s bakery. However, now that the witch is gone, they’ve come around.
Right back to the same bakery, in fact, to open up their very own cupcake business!
“I got a taste for bread when we were wandering out in the forest,” says Gretel with a laugh. “Hansel kept telling me not to eat the bread but I couldn’t help it!”
“Yeah, we were going to be lost forever if she kept eating it!” Hansel says.
“But, while we were trapped by the wicked witch in her gingerbread house, we actually learned some really neat stuff about baking.”
“Oh, definitely,” adds Hansel. “Now we came back to give our own bakery a go, and we’re not baking any kids into pies or anything like that.”
“Plus, what better place for a bakery than a gingerbread house?”
Yummy! Now that the wicked witch is gone from Hansel and Gretel’s bakery, there’s only one wicked thing about the whole place…. how wicked good the cupcakes are!

House Hunt: Muffy3
August 5, 2008
Every Cool Cat has a unique stamp to their house. Muffy’s stamp is the most unique we’ve seen so far. While she doesn’t add too much to her Princess collection, she does remind her visitors of her name: a huge ‘M’ made out of Princess tables stands right in the middle of her room for all to see!
You don’t have to have a large, obvious signature in your room to be on House Hunt, but Muffy3’s house reminds us all: you’ve got to find a signature style and get creative with it.
Until you do, we’ll be House Hunting!
