Remembering Summer 2008
August 29, 2008
Hey Cool Cats, it’s that time of year to trade in your flip flops and bathing suits for backpacks and books. It’s officially Back to School!
Part Ways With a Pal
August 29, 2008
Now that Handipoints has made it even easier to find your friends (check out the post below), we’re also going to point out a way to purge a pal from your friends list if things head south.
All you need to do to delete a friend from your list is click on your Friends icon in HandiLand, select the offending friend from your friend list and click the delete button (Petals’ face with an X next to it). This will take the friend off your list. You can always add them again later, if things improve.
Find a Friend
August 29, 2008
There are cool things going down in HandiLand. Now, you can find your friends when they’re online. That means that you can scope them out anywhere in HandiLand.
All you need to do is make sure you’ve got a few friends listen on your friends list. Click on the Map button in your HandiLand menu. If any of your friends are online, you’ll see a drop-down menu in the corner that says “Find my friend…”
Click on the drop-down menu to see all the friends that are online now. Select one and you’ll automatically go to the room they’re hanging out in. Now your friends are only a button away!
Unexpected Chic
August 22, 2008
Foofoo11 has hit it out of the park with this outfit. There’s so much here that we like. First of all, without the punk jacket, this outfit would look completely different. It would be a bright pink, green and purple creation.
Adding the dark color of the jacket and choosing a black and white background adds an element of style to an otherwise bright and bubbly outfit. Pink and purple are a tried and true combination, but what about purple and green? It works for certain dinosaurs that we could name. What about the excellent pink and green combo? It works for watermelons!
Play around with color and add a stylish piece to your outfit. Try it out!
Different Patterns, Awesome Fun
August 22, 2008
For today’s installment of the Catwalk, we’ve got a Cool Cats Magazine favorite: Muffy3. Muffy changes her outfits all the time, but on a recent afternoon we caught her in a rather fun bumblebee shirt matched to a splashy red and blue skirt from the On Stage catalog.
What we really like about this outfit is that she’s using totally different patterns – the stripes on her shirt, the spots on the dog, the glitter on her shoes – to put together an outfit. Whether the patterns look good together is up to you, but we think she’s working it!
More Under The Sea
August 22, 2008
Now, if you’ve been wondering where the second part of my Under the Sea special was, I’ve got news for you. Roamin’ Rambler had to do a lot of research. If you remember, I spent a turbulent day of scuba diving down at Shipwreck Reef. Here’s what really happened down there.
Stamp Scavenger Hunt
August 20, 2008
Hey there Cool Cats. As many of you may have noticed, a brand new fun activity was launched in HandiLand. It’s the daily Stamp Scavenger Hunt!
Science Fair Part Two!
August 20, 2008
We know that you’ve been waiting around to see how Twiggy will ever fix her problem with the Science Fair and her issues with Donnie. Well, the wait is over! We’ve posted part two of the Science Fair series.
Get down to the library to take a look. If you don’t know where to find the books once you’re there, ask another Cool Cat to show you!
House Hunt: Angelcakes
August 18, 2008
Angelcakes’ house makes us want to come in and have a nice, long sit. There’s the beachy atmosphere mixed with the woodsy atmosphere. All the colors go together and it’s a well thought-out Cool Cat chill pad.
What we really like about some of our favorite houses is the feeling the Cool Cat creates. This house feels very inviting, with lots of places to sit. With the beach towel and the campfire, it reminds us of bonfires of the beach and, hey, who doesn’t love that?
Until next time, we’ll be House Hunting.
House Hunter: Hunter 11
August 18, 2008
Now THIS has to be one of the coolest thing we’ve seen any Cool Cat do with their house. A lot of people are going to try and imitate, but there’s not much that can top Hunter 11’s wizardry with his house.
If you’re not seeing what I’m seeing, ch-ch-check it out: two waterfalls with the river rug in between them, so it looks like a river that never, ever ends. How cool is that?!!?
We thought it was super special, so we’re giving Hunter 11 his shot in the spotlight. Also, his name is Hunter 11 and this column is called House Hunter. Coincidence? Until next time, we’ll be House Hunting.
